Hi. I know this is an old post but just thought you might like to know about lebara mobile. You can get two free Sims online from lebara.fr. the site can be changed to English. And they arrived in about three days
We all have them so don't pay for calls to each other, but we really got them as calls to uk landlines are 1 cent per minute. I checked and Australia landlines also this price. This is just pay as you go and you can get top up vouchers at leclerc. It really helped before we had broadband.
Maybe of use to you??

Hi Sheridan, thanks for that will order one tonight - I ordered one from Le post 6 days ago still not arrived ( needed a nano sim) Rosie got a micro sim -took about 3 days to get it going. There were masses of hoops to go through and it ended up having to be post paid rather than pre paid for some reason - probablty aided by my bad French. Will wait till we get the Lebara one and then cancel. The la post as pay as you go would suit us far better with our comings and goings until we get settled.
Cheers Huw

Glad I could help. We have found lebara really good for knowing what your spending. As the whole family are with them it's rare we have to top up. I don't know if lebara do nano Sims but I think you can buy a nano sim cutter to cut down all Sims. Cheers, Sheridan

Yes they had a nano sim option on their website - very handy having an English language option on the web site too - at least I should get the right type this time !
Thanks again cheers Huw

Unfortunately Lebara sent us 2 micro sims instead of a Micro and Nano. Now i am unable to get a Nano as they only allow 2 free per household but dont give you an option of buying another and haven't to date answered the emails I've sent explaining their mistake. La post sent another micro sim instead of a nano so no joy there either.
Meanwhile I popped into the electronics shop next to Le Clerc and managed to get a pre paid orange nano sim on the spot! Even with my appalling French! Very easy just like buying one in most other countries - wanted my French address, which was fine but nothing more.
Not sure how the rates compare with Lebara or free, but at least it was painless (the orange shop in town didn't have nano sims apparently- much less helpful than the young chap at le clercs). reccomend there to anyone else. They had other providers SIMS in stock too - not nano's for Lebara but not sure if they had normal or micro for them.
