To the casual browser, this thread looks like the most boring thing since watching paint dry (there's one for future discussion).
To us, still holed up in the UK and wondering if we will ever get the renovations finished so we can move 'France side', this thread is a lifeline and a money saver. Thank you Fred for your informative and pictorial grassy updates. Very much appreciated.

What a shame. I was hoping that was where the thread was going.  For a short while we thought our new, young neighbour - spots, scraggly "beard", clapped-out motor and appalling taste in music - might be the best answer.

Sadly, no.  He and his chums barely seem to drink alcool let alone do anything more exciting.

I went up our old place today for a photo as everyone has cut their grass around here. This hasn't been touched this year.





I would say it's getting close to you thinking about getting your grass cut this month, preferably on a hot day.
