Taxis in Montmorillon

I wonder if anyone can help? I have been asked by a guest the cost of a taxi from us [La Brasserie] to a wedding in Montmorillon. I have never needed a taxi before, so any ideas. The other thing is the wedding is in July and obviously a Saturday, so I presume a more difficult time to find one. All feedback will be appreciated.

Don't quote me on this but I think the Ambulance place near the Notaires office Rte Lussac also does Taxis I've seen them coming out of there so it could be worth asking. Ambulance Andrieux Bourcerie 27 Route de Lussac 05 49 91 12 52

Can't stand the suspense any longer.....

I've waited and waited but now my quivering excitement has boiled over..

Sooo.......how much is a taxi from your magnificent pile to Montmorillon?

And how far in advance did you have to book?

I only ask because I once tried booking a taxi here and fell at the first hurdle. I rang the taxi firm at 8.30am asking for a cab to pick me up at 11.30am.

Taxi firm operator - probably an old crone still in her dressing gown and puffing on a Woodbine - said in amazement; "What? You mean today? Impossible." and promptly put the phone down.

I am afraid I cannot give you much more info on taxis in Montmorillon, because the guests has sorted a lift out for the wedding. If we had not been so busy with getting ready for the new season. I would have looked into more. Now the season has started there is no chance to do anything that is not high priority. It is a shame the weather is not with us to day to give me more energy!

If anyone does manage to find a taxi which will do a pick up from the station in montmorillon, I would like to know, for peace of mind after a 6 hour journey!
