Sorry it's taken so long but I was hoping someone else would have go.
 The statue is of General Ladmirault who doubtless won several wars single-handedly. As most French generals tend to. He is standing near the church of St. Martial not far away from the aptly named Place du Victoires.

Shall I send the prize to the usual address ? I think as you are the only one having a go at the Where Am I Competition, I will leave it for a while as I wouldn't want you getting into trouble for receiving so much in winnings and not declaring it on your Impots

Correct Fred. I would hate to get into trouble with our chums at the local tax office.
In the meantime, just send the cash to the usual address and I'll get Madame Admiral to bank it. Ooops.....

Oh sorry it's not cash this time it's a full set of staff for a year including Au Pair, Gardener, Chef, & Chauffeur. They will all be reporting for duty next Monday. Enjoy.

The gardener will need waders to do anything of note with le jardin currently resembling a mini lake. Visiting ducks seem to be happy though. I can only hope the chauffeur comes complete with his/her set of wheels as my old banger has just failed its CT in spectacular fashion.  Wait a minute.............I can feel the faint stirrings of a new thread. |
