Wine tasting!

Now there's a title to interest people.

My brother in law and partner are visiting in mid October. He has expressed an interest in a wine tasting session. I can't think of anything local but there again what do I know?

What have I missed?

Good question Chris, I don't know of any nearby though myself.

I would have thought to find a good selection you would have to go up to the Loire valley or down to the Bordeaux.

We had a couple of days down Bergerac and there were some nice tours of the Monbazillac vineyards.

Why not just buy a few bottles and do your own testing at home, that way you don't have to worry about driving.

I don't know of any wine tasting (or wine producers) around here.  Cognac is good if you fancy some brandy tasting - and bordeaux isn't a lot further if you're partial to a drop of claret.

But then again, Fred's idea has much to recommend it!
