My husband has been a member for a while and he says that he really likes Around Montmorillon as it is full or interesting, friendly and helpful people... so I thought I'd sign up too ... 

We have been here for just over a year, and this Summer we helped our daughter to organise her marriage at the local Mairie followed by a Large Wedding Event at our little house - an interesting challenge that expanded our very mediocre French vocabulary in all sorts of unexpected ways! So, if anyone needs any help with getting married in France and finding caterers, bands, photographers and mobile loos for any kind of Happening, we might be able to help...maybe!!??

Your husband is right we do have a "Interesting, Friendly, and Helpful" people and your input will be gratefully received. Sometimes a lot of them are sleeping or to busy sipping red wine and chomping on cheese to notice a new member, but I'm sure your information about organising a wedding in France will come in handy one day.

Don't hesitate to start new threads or answer existing ones, you never know you may just wake up a member or two.

Congrats on steering through the undoubted horrors (and delights?) of arranging a wedding in France.

Not something that I would even contemplate.

Again, welcome aboard and keep posting - in between slurping vin rouge and chomping on the Camembert of course - because posting on here is what keeps the place alive.  Well, almost.
