Internet connection advice

Just thought I would update as we have now got sorted.

Update finished I'm off to listen to The Archers on Liveradio.fm

As Fred is now sorted can we hijack his thread and ask a similar question please?

Our house was once connected to the telephone service in the past but no longer. We have just been refused permission for a satellite dish from the Marie so … our shopping list.

We would like an internet connection to watch TV and listen to radio 4, but are not particularly bothered about a landline phone connection. I’m assuming with an internet connection then skype calls to the UK would be fine. Can we get internet without having to have a France Telecomm line?
