Food prices shock horror

Having just returned home to blighty last night, after two wonderful weeks at our place in in La Trimouille, I take back my comment 'shop at SuperU and you'll be alright'. Just spent what seems like an arm and a leg in there at each visit. 
I seemed to do better at Leclerc, but then again, that could have been because we sneaked off and did the shop on our own for a change. I do think that food is definitely cheaper here in the UK and household items most definitely are cheaper over here. I think if we do get to move there in the future I will miss the access to very cheap items here.

Again it could be because of the exchange rate. But you do have to shop around sometimes depending on what you want to buy.

At least Merlot is cheap.
