Just as by the by on this subject......................

If your dog, cat, ferret has trouble taking tablets, the worming treatment can be administered with an injection.  V quick and same cost of roughly €40-ish all up.

Just thought I'd mention it.... Whistle

Good suggestion, Admiral.

The last time we saw Jesus he prescribed a liquid antibiotic for the black slug that masquerades as our cat.

He also gave us a plastic syringe to help with administering the liquid but Pingu is wise to tricks like that and ran a mile as soon as the medecine bottle and syringe came out to play.

I managed to beat him at his own game by filling the syringe, then coating the outside bit with thick cream and sat with it casually held in my lap. Within 30 seconds, he was on my lap, desperately trying to get the cream. By holding the syringe high, he craned his neck up to lick the cream. As soon as his mouth was fully open I pushed the plunger and the job was done.

4 days and 8 doses later he still didn't seem to have twigged.

I don't know why, but outsmarting a cat is very satisfying.

Thanks everyone for the recommendation of the Vets at Rue Terrier Blanc.
We got to meet Jesus and had an all round efficient service for our dog - we'll be using them again.

Glad it went well for you too. We just returned home this week and used that vets again too. Very happy with the service and the staff there.
