Has anyone had experience of parking at Poitiers Airport for a few days?

I've been looking at their website https://www.poitiers.aeroport.fr/en/access/parking and it looks like you just park and pay when you leave.

I was hoping to book parking to make sure but can't find anyway of doing that, so I assume there is always plenty of room ?

Any info on parking gratefully received.

Fred

We usually fly into Poitiers and pick up a hire car there. Have never left our own car for a few days but I'd say you should be ok to find parking in the car park. Obviously, it's busier at flight arrival and departure times and lunchtime - as people go there to eat!

Hi Fred,
There's plenty of parking at Poitiers airport and it's inexpensive when compared to UK airport parking. There's no need to pre-book - just turn up and pay when you leave. We've left our car there several times for a week or two with no problems.

Thank you Clubby and Brian that's reassuring to know, I was imagining getting there and finding no room.

Right that's one thing less to worry about, if you or anyone else has any other tips about using Ryanair and Poitiers airport it would be gratefully received as the last time we went on a plane was about 25 years ago.  Doh

Have found out we now have to go any buy two new little cases on wheels as the ones we have are to big (not been able to find any for €5 yet)  Big Grin

Oh well this cheap weekend to Blighty is looking more expensive by the minute. Confused

Ryanair - if your last flight was 25 years ago you're in for a shock. Ryanair are one of  akind.
A few years ago I had to fly to the UK from the south of France to the UK in an emergency. Ryanair was the only carrier available - cost of single journey - £280...
I boarded the plane and got an aisle seat over the window (more legroom!).
Someone else got on and chose the window seat in my row.
He sat down and started shuffling about uncomfortably. There was a bit of a pong. After a while he stood up, inspected his seat and pressed the crew call button.
Cabin attendant arrived and the passenger said, very politely, "I think someone has been sick on this seat". "That's not a problem" was the reply "just give me a moment". He minced off back the galley and returned a few minutes later with a wad of loo paper that he passed to the passenger. "There you are sir." And with that he was gone.
We both changed seats...

Poitiers Ariport - more like a bus station that an airport. Once you're passed security there's just about nothing in the way of facilities. If you would liek to eat something either before you depart or on the flight you'd better take it with you!

I must admit, I tend to drive. Although slower and generally more expensive, I find the company and service levels are far superior!

Sorry about the horror story but I think people need to know what sort of organisation they're dealing with. I do feel sorry for the cabin crew as they are treated like sh- sorry - very badly Dodgy
And RyanAir carry on bag size is rarely enforced but when it is they are RUTHLESS!
If you need HP Sauce do let me know - I'm driving over to the UK at the beginning of May and I'm sure I could fit in a case or two Cool

That's kind of you Brian, but I don't like asking or putting people out especially when Mrs Fred starts saying we could have this, and this, and this, and this, and this.

Well I will have quite of lot of other stuff - I'm bringing over some (more) woodworking equipment but I'm sure we could squeeze in a few bottles - it would be a pleasure.

By the way, do you have a beard and tend to wear a hat?
