Second BUT.....it also has on the label "aromatise' noix."

Just trying to help.

Mmmm could be worth a try but I really want one without anything in it. The White Chardonnay vinegar by Maille is ok but I think Mrs Fred said it's a bit to expensive to use for pickling.

The annoying thing is I have read so many French recipes where they say add White Wine Vinegar. But then having said that I have also read where they say add Cream. Maybe they get it secretly shipped in from the UK cause I've never found what I would call Cream in France either.

Ah cream. Now you've opened another old wound that irks me. Don't know how you do it....

Nearest I've found to what I would call "proper" cream is a little number called Creme pour professionnel. Hyper U used to sell it. LeClerc front desk staff say they've never heard of it. Thanks for the help chaps.Wall

It might be UHT but the main ingredient is milk and it whips up a treat for trifles and is good in all sorts of desserts, sauces etc etc.

This is their website; http://www.laiteriedemontaigu.com/ and it is exceptionally dull. I've written to them asking for names of local stockists. And guess what? Yup, you got it, I never got a reply.
