Thank you Clubby and Brian you were right, there was plenty of room and it was dead easy.  Thumb

The car park was right next to the building, we walked in got checked and walked straight out and onto the plain. I had seen Limoges before when picking up the family, but Poitiers looked even smaller and easier as there were no steps (Oh and the flight was a lot cheaper from Potiers than it was from Limoges)

Didn't like Stansted though, seemed like we walked miles even though there was a little train. The passport scanner was slower than the normal passport control, and the amount of people was a bit scary eek

FYI

Was stopped at Poitiers airport security a few weeks ago as the clear plastic bag with my toothpaste and deorderant was TOOOOO BIG. It was a normal size LeClerc freezer bag. My two travelling companions - with identical bags had aleardy gone through security. I had to exit security and buy two new official bags for one Euro! Be warned.

It's always pot luck as to what you can get away with as you pass through airport (or seaport) security. The only certainty is that if you have complied with all regulations then you are very unlikely to have problems. It might be worth measuring your LeClerc bags and seeing if they conform to the specification posted here.

Cheers Brian. The regulations say containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm - so yes mine was too large. It was the daft thing that two identical bags had gone through immedietly before me. C'est la vie.
