If you want to give up smoking in France the government are pushing November as a tobacco free month.

You can also get €150 per year for patches, gums, inhalers, etc to help you quit.

I'm not posting this to push anti smoking, but as an ex smoker myself I know how difficult it can be to give up if you want to and sometimes a little help could be what is needed.
