Now this is a big ask but.............does anyone know if La Poste offer a service re-directing your French mail to a UK address?

If they do, how does it work?

How much does it cost?

Before anyone asks, I'm not talking about sending an LRAR from outside France because that topic has already been cracked by the long-lamented Steve.

Are you going back to the UK Admiral? Bet you knew that question was coming)

Or post lady has been very good in bringing our mail to our new address as it's on her rout, but I don't think she would send it to the UK for us. Big Grin

All I could find is this which may help:

https://www.laposte.fr/particulier/produ...rnationale €66 for six months and €118 for twelve.

I could see that one coming a mile off. NO. We are not going back to the UK long term but various matters famille could keep us there longer than we would like. I'm also assured by Madame Admiral I can still be a nuisance on this forum from afar.Thumb

Thanks for that Fred. It looks like the business to me even with my dodgy French. Will explore further and report back on whether it's been a success or failure. Which might take some time as everything here seems to work slower than a snail full of pastis.Wall

That's good to hear, otherwise I would be sitting here covered in cobwebs watching the tumble weeds rolling by. Big Grin

I know you've been quivering with excitement waiting for an update on this fascinating subject but I can report the system works - after a fashion.

It's up to you decide if it's worth the €60 for six months if you're going to give it a go.

Somehow I think getting a friend to bundle up the nasties and send them on may be cheaper.

Pip pip...

Thanks for updating Admiral, I suppose €10 a month isn't too bad at least you know you will get your mail and they have an obligation to do it. Whereas your buddy may just throw away that €40 cash I stuffed in an envelope and sent to you for being our top posting member last month.  Big Grin
