Garden clearance and Landscape work.

Hi. As with many others, we are back in Montmorrillon after an extended Covid-induced absence. The garden has gone nuts. Is there anyone who is able to help with bramble and weed clearance, and transportation of the green waste to dechet? I would also like some hard landscaping laid to reduce weeds in the future! Any recomendations are gratefully received.

I think that the depot-vente in Lussac les Chateaux has a gardening service - they are a local organisation run by ADECL employing people who need help. Their website has a page inviting contact to discuss any possible green space maintenence work.
Failing that, Admiral had a good recommendation in another thread.

I seem to have been clearing jungles all my gardening life, though I am not a gardening professional. I also have a handy 3m x 2m trailer.

The immediate news is that from tomorrow I am away in Gers until June 9.

It's the weather for removing weeds. I've pulled most of my own out. Not sure what it will look like when I come back from Gers in three weeks. Maybe that's when I discover the truth about my generosity/stupidity.

PS My new leccy plug for the trailer has seven connection points, i.e. one more than the six on the present one. Happily connections on both old and new plugs are numbered so I'll connect the same coloured wires to the same numbers in the new plug and leave connection #7 alone. Unless you have a better idea.

I think the 6 pin connector is an oldish standard. Seven is, I think, standard these days. Here's a wiring diagram in case it helps...

Aha. thanks Brian. This Yorkshire/Lancashire {brought up/born) cheapskate bought only the plug. which is rusty, corroded and generally in sh*t state. To use all the connections of a seven point plug requires I would think a seven point socket. If it works to pretend the plug has only six connection points then fine. Some places in the current 1 to 6 have two wires. If it doesn't, I'll splash out and buy a 7pt socket.

You should be fine. The 6 pin system had one connection for sidelights whereas the new one splits left and right. Join them together, ignore pin 7 and you should be in business.
