I have read they are going ahead with it even though there has been a lot of opposition.
Another little red dot Mrs needs to put on the speedo. We do have Kms on the speedo but Miles are the biggest ones so unless you really concentrate you can't see the Kms very well. After getting fined twice for being 3km over the speed limit Mrs Fred painted little red dots and now I no longer get fined.
One advantage about the 80Km it will save a little on diesel, and I only ever go as far as Poitiers a few times a year and you can always make up a good bit of time at the Fleuré bypass.
